For Baby

A couple more pram hangers I have made...

I love the lace on this pink hanger. It is a scrap left over from our family christening gown.
The paper is a smudged pink with pale brown dots and the large heart is a sizzix cut out, aged around the edges and embellished with a pearl heart and 'Ssshhh...'
I also made a yellow and mint green hanger using a checked pattern and embellishing with a yellow and green pearl heart and flower.
The tiny bear is made from fimo clay.

Little Boxes...

...made using large paper scraps and my usual embellishments...

A Small Noel

Just a little heart-shaped hanger for Christmas. Covered in silver holly patterned paper and embellished with silver peel-0ff snowflakes, small stars, a pearl flower and a pink organza bow.

Merry Christmas

I made this 'Merry Christmas' hanger...

...I used thickened card, cut to size 21cm x 7.5cm, and covered it in a cream paper with a lilac pattern and pink foil design...

...and decorated it with hearts, buttons and bows...

...and a beautiful gold peel-off corner. I also used a couple of leaf-shaped sequin embellishments which look just like angel wings. The hanger is lilac wire, I wrapped a small section around a skewer to give a little twist.

Sweet Sixteen Daughter

A sweet 16 for my daughter's birthday...

I cut a 16 shape template and used vintage floral print paper in pale green and pink...
...and embellished the card with gingham ribbon bows, buttons and lovely hearts and flowers.

Chocolate box

Another box of chocolates, this time done with a lovely floral paper, cut with my favourite scissors for a nice edge.
I wrapped the paper around the box and secured with double sided tape, then did the same with a length of satin loop-edged ribbon.
The three bows are lace, paper and satin ribbon and the tag is backed with mulberry paper and decorated with a glittery heart card cutout.

Birthday Card and mini tag giftcard envelope

Here's a birthday card I made...
I used a lovely pink rose-print paper, which I tore around the edges
then aged with a copper inkpad...
I have used some of my favourite lilac paper roses to decorate,
wrapping the wire stem around a thin skewer for the twist,
along with a lilac paper ribbon bow and tiny pearl flower embellishments.
The hearts are card cutouts...
...and the giftcard envelope is done with the same paper and embellishments.

Cake Box

Another cake box.

This one is larger than the last one I did. I chose a spotted paper for the bottom and a script print for the lid.

It is decorated with some vintage lace, a brown spotted ribbon, a brown organza bow, some stiny sting pearls and a couple of paper roses.

There are also a couple of buttons, pearl flower embellishments and a sequin flower and leaf embellishment I made.

3 drawer mini matchbox chest

A small 3 drawer chest made from three matchboxes.

I've used a lovely paper from a new Paper Cellar Victorian Classic 6x6 pad...

...embellished with paper roses, organza ribbon and buttons...

...and small purple sequins pushed onto brads to make the drawer knobs.

Sunday, 11 October 2009

I've been sewing dance costumes for a friend this past week so I thought I'd use up a couple of fabric and ribbon scraps and make these tags while my machine was in use.

This first tag has a piece of ribbon saying 'delicious' on it, which came from a box of chocolates. Just perfect to tie onto a chocolately gift.

...and these are made using printed scrapbooking ribbon.
This is a great way to use up tiny fabric scraps and ends of ribbon.
