A Little Bit of Dr Who Fun

I love the TARDIS!  I made one of these a few weeks ago and LOVED it.
When I made a couple more they were quick to sell at a craft fair and I've since had more orders :)
As my son kindly pointed out when I was encountering a bit of difficulty with the stuffing 'It's because they're so much bigger on the inside, that's why you're struggling.'  You can't argue with that logic!

Getting there...

My 'Card a Week' personal challenge has had a few hiccups (as have I ☺) but as I meander my way into week 37 of 2013 I have a little 'catchy-uppy' to play as I counted back only 26 cards blogged to date.  So here are a few to bring me a little closer...

bringing my total to 29 - WooHoo!

No crafting for me :(

I'm sorry to say that a totally uncrafty project has occurred and I'm very limited on my time so I'll be taking a short break from blogging but hope to get back to it soon.  I'll catch up on my 'Card a Week' project too and share my makes in the near future.

Rustic Country Cards

I had some spare time to put together some lovely little fabric bits and made these cards...

A delightful tiny patchwork quilt, with a small amount of padding...
and a country red barn with a lot more padding!

I also did a couple of tiny Union Jack cards ~

These pieces have no padding but are mounted on the same rustic fabric surround.

Afternoon tea at my house ♥

With my husband and my son both celebrating their birthday last Friday I'm afraid I didn't get any spare time to do any crafting.  I'll top up my 'Card a Week' project this week (hopefully).
We did have a lovely afternoon tea on Sunday...
..cupcakes and  coffee cake..

..lemon drizzle loaf cake..

..rustic scones, berries and cherries jam and clotted cream..
..and a fabulous chocolate fudge cake..

..and my lovely vintage china teacups, saucers and plates.

Tussie Mussie

Isn't that just a great name for something fussy?  I'm told by my knowledgeable sister (Tarty Frog) that tussie mussie is actually a posy of flowers but these decorative cones have taken on the name.
Mine is a relatively small cone, covered with some vintage print paper...

with a large lace bow...

dried rose buds and lilac paper flowers...

and a band of crystal leaf edging.
