Coming Out of Hibernation

Even though I've been in blogland hibernation I have still been doing some crafting.  So here's a random selection of pictures of some of my work...

Lazy Sundays...

I had a lovely lazy Sunday, taking it easy and finishing off a few items that I've left for a little too long.

Like these crochet flowers for brooches...

...and a pair of giddy knitted cuffs in a peachy cream colourway...
...with a diagonal hole pattern and a very frilly edge.

Boot Cuffs

There's a definite change in the temperature of late, nights are colder and the days are struggling to wake up into full light.  Time to get the winter woolies out!
So with this scrummy thick wool in browns and creams I knitted a pair of boot cuffs for my daughter Holly, finishing them off with a couple of large red button she chose herself.

Busy Needles

I had this pattern for hand warmers and wanted to try it out so found a half ball of cotton-style wool and gave them a go...

...and I was so pleased with them that I tried a pair in pale mint green in a moss stitch...

...but these are asking for flowers to be added...
...and then a yummy woolly brown pair with fluffy ribbing and crocheted flowers...

Cup of tea, anyone...?

I recently knitted this tea cosy because I love it!

I love the fresh spring green and the pink flowers...
...and the yellow centre of the flower atop the cosy.
