A small boy's 3rd birthday card

I can't believe my great-nephew is going to be 3 soon! I made this card for him, and I even got it just right when I came to fold it and stand it up straight!
I just hope he likes it!

A tag challenge

How about this tag? On a recent craft day we each gave items that had to be used to create a tag. We were able to use our own stuff too but it's quite an interesting challenge when you get something you wouldn't normally choose to use yourself!
Check out my lovely sister's too on her blog - Handmade by Karen Amanda - if she's blogged her tag!
Sunshine and happiness today! The glorious rays of sunlight are streaming through the windows and bouncing little rainbows off a tiny crystal heart and star I have! Simply fantastic!

I've been shopping

I have some nice new papers.
The colours are soft and muted,
the prints are feminine.
Still loving the peel-off hearts and buttons!

A button matchbox

I just love buttons!
I decorated this matchbox using up some tiny scraps I had left over from previous projects.

My niece's 18th birthday card

I made this card for my niece, who will be 18 next week. The large 1 and 8 are covered in the floral papers from my new Papermania Signature Blueberry Hill paper pack.
I have tied a tiny gold key with string and attached it to the top of the 1. The hearts and the corner are clear peel-offs which i have backed with the paper from the contrasting number.

Some pretty boxes

I have some lovely papers from Papermania Signature called Blueberry Hill. I love the colours and the patterns. I covered a set of three hexagonal boxes in the floral blue and floral pink patterns. The embellishments are tiny paper roses, handmade labels and hearts, organza and satin bows.
I think the boxes are just perfect for giving gifts of jewellery, although I love them so much I might not be able to part with them just yet.

A mini tag book

I thought I'd share a recent project with you. This is a mini tag book. It is made using four small envelopes, some of the lovely papers from Papermania Nostalgia Warm papers and some of my plain cardstock.
I love the little dragonfly brads and the different heart embellishments.
Making little tag books like this is a great way of using tiny scraps of paper that I just can't bring myself to throw away.
I have used this idea as a birthday card previously, writing special quotes on each tag before placing it in the envelope.

Cake box

Hello again.
I love crafting days. Sometimes we have a set project and other times we just go with the flow.
This particular project was something Mum wanted to try.
The original inspiration was a wedding cake box with an attached lid but I had a little trouble with getting mine to close so I adapted the pattern and made a separate lid on my box.
I used floral paper from K&Company Life's Journey pad to cover the box. The decorations are a skeleton leaf, some dried rose buds, a heart embellishment and a lovely tassel. The bow was from some ribbon I had on a gifted teapot.
You can also see a small sticker padlock at the front of the box.
Far too nice to just put a piece of cake in!
